NEWS 5 year contract with PSA Singapore

PSA Corporation Limited (PSA) in Singapore and BTG Special Products (BTG) from the Netherlands signed a 5 year contract for supplying its AGV positioning measurement systems.  About 400 AGVs will be equipped with the sensors when the first phase of Tuas Port development is completed.  PSA decided to go with the BTG transponder technology after successfully testing it for 6 years at their Pasir Panjang Terminal.  In addition, BTG also supplies the STS gantry positioning systems for Tuas Port phase one.

Despite upcoming new technologies, the BTG absolute transponder measurement system proves to be the only highly accurate, reliable and all weather system in the market for outdoor applications like container port AGVs.  To simplify the transponder installation, BTG designed its own transponder installation robot.
